Vice Minister Yu Kangzhen meets head of Belgian AFSCA

Vice Minister Yu Kangzhen met with Mr. Herman Diricks, Chief Executive Officer of Management Board of the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC) of Belgium, and his delegation in Beijing on Oct. 15, 2014. The two sides exchanged views on furthering bilateral cooperation in animal health.
At the meeting, Vice Minister Yu spoke highly of the achievements made in bilateral cooperation on agricultural R&D and trade in recent years.
In addition, Yu put forward the following proposals for future cooperation: (i)to enhance cooperation in agricultural R&D; (ii)to support economic and trade cooperation between agri-businesses from two countries and to promote agricultural trade by taking further measures and building platforms; and (iii) to conduct exchange and cooperation in animal health in a down-to-earth manner.
Diricks agreed on Yu''s proposals. He also expressed his willingness to join hands with China to enhance cooperation in animal health and agricultural trade.
